Iloilo Doctors’ Hospital, nagpahibalo nga sa ila gin- admit ang covid-19 patient (WV#11) nga napatay sa Iloilo City

Ginpahibalo sang Iloilo Doctors’ Hospital, Inc., paagi sa ila administration officer nga si Mr. Jomarie P. Muyco nga sa ila ospital na-admit ang COVID-19 patient nga napatay sa Iloilo City.

Ginhimo ini sang management sang IDH paagi sa isa ka advisory subong nga adlaw.

Base sa advisory, Marso 20 sang na-admit sa ospital ang 72-anyos nga lalaki.

Gin-classify siya nga person under investigation (PUI) bangud may pneumonia kag may history of travel sa Manila.

Gin-obserbar sang IDH ang tanan nga possible infection prevention and control measures sa pasyente pero napatay siya bangud sa COVID-19 kag Acute Respiratory Respiratory Distress Syndrome sang Marso 21, 2020.

Base sa record sang Department of Health Center for Health Development 6, ang napatay nga COVID-19 patient amo ang WV PATIENT #11.

The Management of Iloilo Doctors’ Hospital, Inc., would like to inform the public that WV# 11 as officially published in Western Visayas DOH COVID-19 Bulletin dated March 27, 2020 was indeed admitted in our hospital last March 20, 2020. He was immediately classified as Person Under Investigation (PUI) because he has pneumonia and history of travel to Manila. All possible infection prevention and control measures were observed in the course of his hospital admission. It is unfortunate that our patient succumbed to Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome last March 21, 2020.

Our deepest sympathy goes to the family and loved ones of outpatient.

The management salutes all our health care personnel who selflessly attended to our patient despite the perceived and true risks associated with this novel virus COVID-19.

Our gratitude to the Attending Physicians, ICC nurse of IDH, Medical Residents, Nurses, Nursing Aids, X-ray technicians, laboratory personnel, transport technicians, security personnel, janitorial services personnel and all others involved in patient care, for showing utmost professionalism, compassion and strength of character despite the odds like limited PPE, uncertain diagnosis at that time. You are so brave in overcoming your own personal bias and fear to continue serving the patients to the highest standards of care for which IDH is known and continue to deliver even in times of pandemic.

The Infection Control measures applied to the hospital is in accordance with accepted standards to ensure the safety of all patients, family of patients and personnel working at Iloilo Doctors’ Hospital, Inc.

We apologize for any inconvenience our triaging measures can cause to anyone entering the premises of IDH. We have to do this to ensure the safety and well-being of all of us.
