MESSAGE FROM MAYOR TREÑAS

CDRRMO Advisory as of 11AM, November 6, 2019:

“After checking all the available data (PAGASA, Windy & YR), forecast tonight up to tomorrow shows that we will be experiencing light to moderate to intermittent heavy rains over Western Visayas due to the effects of TS QUIEL. Iloilo City will be experiencing 6-14.1mm of rain until tomorrow afternoon ( Nov.7).

As of 8PM tonight, PAGASA Iloilo Radar already recorded 23mm total amount of rainfall considered as orange rainfall advisory or intense. In this case, we recommend for the suspension of classes from pre-school up to senior high, both in private and public schools. These are considered vulnerable population and should be protected from the possible effects of heavy rainfall. – i am therefore ordering the suspension of classes from pre school to senior high school both in private and public schools.”
