ILOILO – Ginplastar sang Iloilo Electric Cooperative (ILECO) I ang mga rason kun ngaa nagmahal ang ila residential electricity rate nga ginapanghakroy sang mga konsumedor.

Indi lang affected diri ang ILECO I, [kundi] whole of Panay except ILECO III,” suno kay ILECO I General Manager, Engr. Mike Paguntalan.

Ang IEMOP amo ang nagapadalagan sang Wholesale Electricity Spot Market (WESM), ang venue sa baligya-anay sang elektrisidad bilang commodity sa Pilipinas.

Sang Hunyo, nagmandu ang Energy Regulation Commission (ERC) nga tungaon sa apat ka bulan ang pagbayad sang electricity rate nga ginbakal sa spot market. Pero ginpahayag ni Paguntalan nga imbes apat ka bulan, ginhimo nila nga anum ka bulan agud indi mabug-atan ang mga konsumedor.

Suno pa kay Paguntalan, 35% sang power supply sang ILECO I ang ginakuha sa spot market.

Base sa Agosto 2024 nga residential electricity rate, nagasukot ang ILECO I sang P16.3159 per kilowatt hour, pinakamataas sa iban pa nga distribution utilities sa Panay.
