ILOILO CITY—Gintawag ni Mayor Raisa Treñas-Chu nga Multi-purpose Building ang Iloilo City Legislative Building nga nahamtangan sang opisina sang Vice Mayor, mga city councilors kag Sangguniang Panlungsod Secretariat.

Sa first floor sang building nahamtang ang Office of the Building Official kag sa third floor ang opisina sang mga Executive Assistants.

Base sa Merriam-Webster Dictionary, ang “multipurpose” nagakahulugan nga “serving or able to serve more than one purpose.”

Base naman sa construction company nga Seko (website) ang multipurpose buildings “are flexible in use and can be reconfigured to serve different purposes based on need.”

Gin-ilisan ni Mayor Treñas-Chu ang una nga tawag nga Legislative Building sa Multipurpose Building makaligad ginpabutyag ni Vice Mayor Lady Julie Grace Baronda nga dapat ang Legislative Building pahamtangan lang sang mga opisina nga may legislative functions.

Sang 2021, gin-sponsor ni Baronda nga konsehal sang amo nga tiempo sa siyudad ang resolution nga naga-adoptar sa project title nga “Construction of Multi-purpose building” sang ginpatindog ang building sa Ker compound sa likod sang City Hall nga subong ginatawag na Legislative building.

Samtang ginahimo ang proyekto, Legislative Building man ang tawag diri.
