ILOILO – Ginkanselar sang Commission on Elections ang Certificate of Candidacy (COC) ni Ivy Jane Parohinog Miranda nga nagapadalagan sa pagka-SK Chairperson sa Barangay Malag-it, Calinog.
Suno sa Comelec, natukiban nga nag-commit sang “material misrepresentation” si Miranda sa iya COC sang nagdeklarar nga wala sang himata nga incumbent elected official sa ila lugar.
Agosto 31, 2023 sang nag-file sang COC si Miranda para sa Barangay kag Sangguniang Kabataan Elections. Samtang ang resignation letter sang iya amay nga incumbent Sangguniang Barangay member, gin-file sa Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) sang Setyembre 4.
“The resignation letter of her father was not valid, for the reason that it was not filed before the proper authority or before the Municipal Mayor of Calinog, Iloilo who has the power to act on the said resignation. Consequently, [her] father, June Miranda, is still deemed an incumbent elective local official on the same barangay when [she] filed her COC,” suno sa Comelec.
