Ginkumpirmar ni Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) 6 Director, Engr. Sanny Boy Oropel nga ginsuguran na sang anom ka consultants ang soil exploration nga kabahin sang Geotechnical investigation sa ginaplano nga Panay-Guimaras-Negros bridge.

Suno kay Oropel, may mga alignment na sang mga haligi sang taytay nga natumod ang mga consultants.

Nagalaum si Oropel nga matapos sang consultants ang Detailed Engineering Design (DED) sang segment 1 nga ginalakipan sang Panay pakadto Guimaras antes ukon sa Disyembre 2024.

Nagasige-sige man suno sa iya ang pag-explore sang mga consultants sa soil classification sa diin may mga equipment sila nga gin-deploy sa kadagatan sang Iloilo kag Guimaras kag may anum ka mga barge ang naka-station.

Gin-athag ni Oropel nga natalana kun tani nga tapuson sang consultant ang Detailed Engineering Design sang una kag ikaduha nga segment sa Disyembre 2025 nga may kalabaon nga 32 kilometros. Apang ginmandu ni President Ferdinand Marcos, Jr. nga kinahanglan matapos ang una nga segment sa December 2024 kag masugod ang construction sa ikaduha nga semester sang 2025.

“Base sa the detailed engineering design may ara kita [sang] duha ka segment sang Panay-Guimaras-Negros Bridge for a total of 32 kilometers. Ang segment 1 amo ni siya ang Panay to Guimaras pero ang segment 2 amo ni siya ang Guimaras to Negros. Isa lang ni siya ka package ang Detailed Engineering Design that will be completed by December of 2025. May instruction ang president tapuson nila anay una ang detailed engineering design study by December of 2024,” suno kay Oropel.

Ang PGN ang ginakabig “iconic mega project” nga maga-transform sang regional connectivity sang tatlo ka mga probinsiya sa rehiyon sa diin makapalip-ot sang travel time halin sa tatlo tubtob apat ka oras nga mangin isa na lang ka oras pananglitan matapos ang proyekto sa 2030.
