ILOILO – Gindeklarar nga “drug-cleared” ang dugang nga 14 ka barangays sa Iloilo City sa tion sang final deliberation sang Regional Oversight Committee on Barangay Drug Clearing Program, suno sa Iloilo City Police Office (ICPO).
Ang 14 ka barangays amo ang General Hughes kag Tanza Baybay sa City Proper; Lopez Jaena Norte sa La Paz; Balantang, Calubihan, Dungon B, Fajardo, San Vicente, Ungka, kag Tagbac sa Jaro; East Timawa kag Kasing-Kasing sa Molo; kag Navais kag Tabucan sa Mandurriao.
Tungod sini, naglab-ut na sa 134 ka mga barangay ang drug-cleared, suno sa ICPO.
Samtang, napabilin sang siyam ka mga barangays ang “drug-free” status. Ini amo ang Barangays Ed Ganzon, Kauswagan, Osmeña, Roxas Village, Sampaguita, kag San Jose sa City Proper; kag Libertad Santa Isabel, Luna, kag San Jose sa Jaro.
“We thank our partner agencies, especially our barangays, for their dedication and commitment to this success. But being declared drug-cleared does not mean we become complacent. We must continue to police our communities, remain vigilant, and stay steadfast in our fight against the evils of illegal drugs,” suno kay PCOL Wilbert Parilla, director sang ICPO.
