Miss Iloilo 2024 Alexie Mae Caimoso Brooks luyag nga maghimo sang kaugalingon nga ngalan
ILOILO CITY —Simple kag wala nagbag-o si Alexie Mae Caimoso Brooks sang Leon matapos siya ginkoronahan nga Miss Iloilo 2024..// Ini ang ginasiguro ni Brooks sa iya pagbisita sa Aksyon Radyo Iloilo kahapon.
Suno kay Brooks, pareho sa gihapon nga pagkaon ang iya ginakaun, nagakadto siya sa pareho nga lugar, kag naga-upod siya sa pareho nga mga tawo.
Nagpa-athag naman si Alexie kun nga-a nagpasakop siya sa Miss Iloilo. “The goal is to share my story, to use my life as example and as someone to drive other people. I want to educate and advocate women. I want to create a system for women so they can have someone they can run to, they can relate, someone who could talk to them. Not everyone has a voice right now. And I want to be a voice to those voiceless people. I just want everyone to accept people regardless of who they are or where they come from.”
Luyag naman ni Alexie nga maghimo sang iya kaugalingon nga ngalan bilang reaksyon sa mga nagapa-anggid sa iya kay Miss Universe 2019 Zozibini Tunzi sang South Africa.
Nagapasalamat si Alexie sa mga nakakita sang iya potential, pero gin-ako nga wala siya nanamian tungod lain siya kag lain man si Zozibini.
“Thank you because you saw the potential, you saw the resemblance. Yet at the end of the day, I didn’t enjoy it because I have my own identity… She’s different. She has her own personality. And I am different. I am Alexie. I want to make my own name. I have different mental state, different perspective. I have different story and background,” ang pahayag sang Ilongga beauty queen.
Samtang gina-advocate ni Alexie ang pagpabakod sang mental health. “I think the most important asset is a great mental state, a great mindset. Kasi at the end of the day, people could take your talent away from you, people could take your money away from you, your friends, even your partner. But they can’t take away what’s inside of your mind. And that’s your powerhouse, that’s your asset. You need to make sure that you have a great mindset.”
